Maison Chambellan Provence Tours

Hilltop Village Luberon

What kind of tours do you offer?

Shared Tours (minimum 2 participants, maximum 8) to discover the best of Provence. Join a small group and explore iconic destinations such as the hilltop villages of the Luberon, the Calanques of Cassis, the Verdon Gorges, and the famous lavender fields. Meet local producers and enjoy food tours in Aix-en-Provence.
All shared tours follow pre-set itineraries and are available as full-day

or half-day experiences.

- Private Tours to fully customized experiences based on your preference .

Where do your tours start from?

All our tours start from Aix-en-Provence Tourism Office.

However, we can arrange pick-up from Marseille, Avignon, or other nearby locations upon request for Private Tours.

How many people can join a tour?

Our Luxury Van can accomodate

2 to 8 guests.

Are your tours family-friendly?

Yes, many of our tours are perfect for families with children aged 5 and up. We provide age-appropriate child car seats to ensure safety and comfort during the ride.

Can I bring my pet on the tour?

We love animals, but to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not allowed on shared tours, especially due to potential allergies and restrictions at certain sites.
On private tours, small to medium-sized dogs may be allowed on a case-by-case basis—please contact us in advance to discuss the possibilities.

Do you operate tours in the winter?

Yes, we do! Provence is beautiful all year round. However, winter is a quieter season, and in some villages, shops or attractions may be closed. That said, many experiences remain available and enjoyable — for example, boat tours in the Calanques run all year, and we can tailor winter itineraries around wine, truffle season, local markets, and more.
We do close for a few days during the off-season to rest, but feel free to reach out — we’ll be happy to build a custom experience for you.

How can I book a tour?

You can book directly on our website through our secure FareHarbor system, which provides instant confirmation by email.
We’re also listed on major travel platforms like GetYourGuide, Viator, and Airbnb Experiences.
If you have any questions or prefer to customize your tour, feel free to contact us directly — we’ll be happy to help!

I'm coming from Marseille — how can I join the tour in Aix-en-Provence?

If you're staying in Marseille, the easiest way to reach Aix-en-Provence is by train. Make sure to book a train to Aix-en-Provence Centre station (not Aix TGV, which is 18 km away).
The ticket costs around €10 per person per trip, and can be booked in advance on SNCF Connect.
Please choose a train that arrives in Aix before 8:30 AM, to ensure you're on time for the tour departure.

Is the tour suitable for people with limited mobility or disabilities?

Our tours involve visiting beautiful medieval villages such as Gordes, Roussillon, and Lourmarin. These charming spots often have uneven cobblestone streets, some slopes, and limited wheelchair access. While we always try to park as close as possible and adapt to each guest’s pace, the terrain may be challenging for those with reduced mobility.

That said, if you are comfortable with short walks (about 5 to 15 minutes at a time) and some steps or gentle inclines, you should be fine. Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility concerns, and we’ll do our best to tailor the experience to your needs.

What should we wear or bring?

Comfortable walking shoes are a must, especially for cobblestone streets and village paths. In summer, don’t forget a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle. A light jacket is useful in spring or fall. And of course, bring your camera!
